SUNDAY MOSTER

1996-2010
Species: Canine
Gender: Female
Breed: Beagle

Dearest Friends,

Todd and I are overwhelmed with emotion at the loss of our dear, sweet Sunday. She brought so much joy to our lives — and we were blessed to have spent time on earth with her.

Since her health was failing, we had a caring vet from 911 VETS, Dr. Steve Weinberg, come to our home to make her last hours as comfortable as possible last night. Sunday was surrounded by love. Todd, Kathleen, Evan and I were all petting her — and we let her know how much she was cherished. She left with a sweet smile on her face knowing that her spirit would be lifted pain-free to a better place.

We’ll never forget Sunday’s mischievous personality — how she chewed through Todd’s seatbelts several times; how she got Bruce and Evan into trouble by trying to catch fish in the Playa del Rey condo stream; how she escaped onto a polo field running amongst the horses and getting Todd into trouble; how she chewed through her leash and her dog boyfriend Nohea’s leash to set them both free to roam Manhattan Beach while we were having dinner; how she escaped from my car to run into Whole Foods Market in search of me; how she and Kona jumped onto a table when left at home and ate all our Valentine’s cookies and candies while Todd was driving us to the airport; and on and on….

And we’ll never forget your many kindnesses to her — how Aunty Kathy would always indulge us and baby-sit her when we had to leave; and her other favorite baby-sitters like Aunty Randy, Joe Dad, Uncle Tim, Aunty Dinah, Jim and Michele, Aunty Sharri and Margo; how she always knew to find my dad, Larry, when she wanted that extra treat or two; and how joyful she was when company came to visit her.

We especially want to thank our California Animal Hospital veterinarian Dr. Kirstie Barrett for giving us an extra year with Sunday — which we treasured dearly.

Thank you all for keeping Sunday in your thoughts and prayers! Thank you for your calls and e-mails even though we haven’t been up to responding just yet…and for sharing in our joyful memories of our most precious Sunday Moster….

Much Love & Aloha,

Roxanne & Todd

STORMY

1992-2010
Species: Feline
Gender: Female
Breed: American Shorthair

Stormy was born in Chicago and drove across country in the front seat of a U-Haul truck to start a new life in Los Angeles. She got her name because we had a terrible thunderstorm on the night she came to live with me. Fearless at eight weeks old, she jumped up onto the window sill and started yowling back at the thunder and lightning. When she was little she used to sleep on my chest at night, purring all the while. She was a good girl, she was well loved and I will miss her terribly. RIP Stormy.
